Burma Cyclone Relief

floods in BurmaAMURT have started putting together a massive relief effort in Burma in order to help those suffering in the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis. We have one key worker inside Burma allready hooked up with a large group of Buddhist monks ready to work with us and we have another key worker on his way there with start up funds and expertise.

Because of difficulty in communications inside Burma, we are struggling to get photo footage of the situation out. The death toll is estimated to be upwards of 23 000 with most of the deaths having occurred in the southern Irrawaddy river delta region. Officials say the majority of people were killed by a tidal surge 12 ft (3.5m) high.
