Midwifery Training Boost

BURKINA FASO Midwifery training programme - Deou Province : AMURT UK has secured some very useful equipment from the American company Enasco. The donated mannequins and teaching dolls will be shipped to Burkina Faso and put to use in our training sessions.

 

As 95 % of the women in the Deou area are illiterate, they find it difficult to follow theoretical workshops. Our past experience has proven that visual aids such as mannequins, teaching dolls, charts and other practical equipment are invaluable during the training sessions. The women are able to absorb the information through practical demonstrations as well as to get beneficial hands-on experience. We would also like to  thank our international supporters . Their kind donations have recently allowed us to purchase further equipment from UK’s National Childbirth Trust, which is always desperately needed in our projects.
