Since its inception in 1998 the ALF has pioneered and fostered homeopathic and naturopathic clinics in rural is not easily accessible and slum areas of Kenya where medicine is not affordable. As natural therapies are relatively inexpensive and require little infrastructure they are well-suited to such communites.
